12_The Parables of Jesus (The Wise and Foolish Builders)

We should not be surprised to find parables throughout the teaching of Jesus. Some are long and narrative, some are short and pithy, like proverbs, others are brief and to the point, easily understood. The parable form is prevalent in the Sermon on the Mount. In His concluding remarks Jesus likens those to whom he has spoken as being of one of two classes, either a wise or a foolish builder.
