BibleTalk with Jeff Asher began in 1988 as a call-in radio broadcast which aired for ten years on KGNC in Amarillo, TX. Later it moved to the internet as a website for articles, class materials, sermon outlines and debates to be downloaded for use all over the world. Now, BibleTalk is still growing and changing, being a podcast for audio and, eventually, video Bible study resources.

The prophet additional chastening of the nation if they do not repent. Malachi specifies the sins of which the entire nation is guilty. The priests fail to either instruct or enforce the Law. They are unjust in that they show partiality in judgment. The nation is corrupted through the sin of adultery. God is angry with the men of Judah behave treacherously in divorcing their wives without cause.

After the gross miscarriage of justice at the hands of the Jewish magistrates, Jesus is delivered to Pilate so that Jews might drag the Romans into their conspiracy of jealousy, hatred and murder. Pilate is neither gullible or willing regarding their intentions. Nevertheless, he is drawn into their plot to further his own wicked machinations.

We all identify with Peter. He is the Bible's "every man." In him we see the most noble of qualities to emulate, and those common to every struggling disciple. Why did Peter deny Jesus. It is a shallow treatment of the man, and ourselves, to simply assign fear as the cause. There is much more to it than that. Let's consider Peter's threefold denial.

Did the Eleven flee in fear and terror from the overpowering mob sent by the enemies of Jesus? Were Judas and his co-conspirators overturning the will of God or fulfilling the Scriptures?

John 17:1-26 it is the longest recorded prayer of Jesus. It can properly be called the Lord's Prayer. It is truly Jesus praying, offering praise and thanksgiving to the Father, making supplication for Himself and intercession for the Eleven. It is a beautiful prayer of faith and confidence in God. It is Jesus's prayer for all believers.
